Turkish EFL Teacher Educators’ Experienced Challenges and Applied Strategies: A Phenomenological Study

Research on effective teacher education, which has been in the field literature for years, newly shifted its focus to educators. In order see challenges experienced by Turkish EFL educators actively working Turkey, underlying reasons these challenges, and strategies applied overcoming 35 voluntary comprised purposive sample of this research. For qualitative analysis phenomenological study, content was carried with a questionnaire consisting open-ended questions semi-structured interviews. According research results, it revealed that had at beginning their careers, mostly instructional strategies, yet managing extra responsibilities an ongoing challenge them throughout careers. While lack support teaching experience were found as reasons, reportedly used consultation supporting strategies.
